Lucy Chirwa

As a Counselling Psychologist and career development consultant, I believe that people need a safe space to learn, practice new skills, make mistakes and try again. There are various ways in which this can be achieved, and therapy is one such way. People readily invest in their physical well-being but rarely take the time to evaluate and invest in their psychological well-being. It is unfortunate that there is still a stigma attached to seeking help through attending therapy. One of my professional goals is to educate members in society of the benefits of therapy and career guidance.

I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients on their journey to wellness. A holistic approach helps me work with each client not in isolation but rather as part of a larger system. My aim is to assist clients in learning how to become their own therapists and develop effective problem-solving skills. I am passionate about bringing awareness and creating safe spaces for individuals to discover themselves through personal and professional development. I work from an Integrative Interactional approach to psychotherapy. I have experience working with individuals from various backgrounds and ages. I also have experience working in the educational, clinical, NGO sectors.  My services are provided in-person and online. I work with children, adolescents and adults.
