Theo obtained his Bachelors, Honnours and Masters degrees with distinction at the University of the Free State. He is currently completing a PhD in faith development across the lifespan and has a passion for learning how to help his clients. He is also an expert facilitator and enjoys presenting CPD activities for other health professionals, as well as mental health workshops for his clients.
Theo started his private practice after lecturing at the University of the Free State, Imperium University, and the Central University of Technology. He has consulted at various schools in SA, presented professional workshops and lectures, and has worked closely with clients to develop various learning materials and aids. He has also consulted at various private hospitals in Bloemfontein, including Bloemcare Private Psychiatric Hospital, M-Care Optima, Mediclinic Bloemfontein, Mondia Hillendale Recovery Centre, EmoyaMed Hospital and Life Rosepark Hospital.
Therapeutic Approach
Theo particularly enjoys working with adolescents, emerging and young adults for a variety of difficulties. As an integrative, solution-focused and mindfulness-based therapist, Theo also works with clients in crisis and is open to shorter term strengths based therapies, which may include trauma re-briefing after traumatic events or experiences. Theo offers individual clinical assessment and therapy and is able to assist with a variety of mental health needs.
